Artists of the Resistance: an artist-run website empowering contemporary artists to have their voices heard and their art seen.
Silenced for too long, it is our responsibility as artists to stand up and give voice to the dissent against the hate-filled rhetoric and policies spewing forth from our Commander-in-Chief and his cronies. We refuse to be intimidated or silenced to stand up against misogyny, racism, xenophobia and environmental apocalypse. We refuse to let hatred win.
As I continue to shape this new work, I continue to be amazed at how satisfied I feel completing each piece. I see each one as an act of resistance. I then thought, there had to be other artist as frustrated and pissed as I am and also want their voices to be heard. Thus, the Artists of the Resistance was born.
This will be a free website, an exercise in free expression and resistance. I am not sure where or when this journey will end, but I’m glad you’re here with me along the way.
