RAY BELDNER

Title, medium, size, year

I am an artist and have worked in art education and marketing for the last 20 years with the goal of inspiring people to create, value, and support the visual arts. At several Bay Area colleges and universities, I have taught courses in sculpture, design, conceptual art, and public art. However, my specialties are sculpture/installation art, and professional practices for artists.

In addition to art education, I am a fine art appraiser and I manage the art collection of one of San Francisco’s most adventurous contemporary art collectors.

My work has been exhibited in more than 15 solo shows and I’ve participated in over 100 group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. My artwork can be found in many public and private collections including the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, the Federal Reserve Board, Washington D.C., the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Oakland Museum of California, the San Jose Museum of Art, the diRosa Preserve in Napa, California, among others.

My work has been reviewed in many publications including Art in America, Arte, Art On Paper, Artweek, Wired, Playboy, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, the Village Voice, the International Herald Tribune, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times.
